Im a single male and have not dated properly for ages, I have put adverts including pics up on match and plentyoffish but am still a couple of years down the line not meeting anybody.....

After university my friends all moved away and now am finding it hard to have a social life as it usually involves trying to get coupled up people to come out of their comfport zone.

i know people will say just get out there, but its difficult when it is literally just you by yourself looking for friends .....not wanting people to take pity aswell!!!!

Are you waiting for people to contact you or are you being 'proactive'?
what are your thoughts on older women?
I like 'em... can't speak for thinkpositive though... hang on... how old?
You two, step away from the computer and get out of Relationships and Dating. You obviously don't have any experience :)

im being proactive messaging women from all over, and although i get a lot of 'your cute' comments, have only ever met a handful of people, none of which progreessed further than a 2nd date.

I LOVE OLDER WOMEN :)
Ok its a bit of a cliche, but what are your interests? Instead of looking for a date why not pursue something that interests you, then you may meet someone compatible

On second thoughts, he loves older women.

go to a pub, join a pool or darts team. we have loads of people come in who are working down here and don;t know anyone, its surprisingy how quick they become part of the crowd
Do as mcfluff says, or sign up to a local class, just don't look desperate!
