Do you have somewhere to go?
you can leave home without consent at 16
I'd seriously rethink your idea.

Living on your own along with all the bills that it entails isn't all that it's cracked up to be. After a few months of living on nothing but bread you will more thn likely pray you were back at home, putting up with a few swear words is alot better than having no money.
I agree with Boo - wait a bit longer. You can have all sorts of problems at 16 as you are too young to get credit (you need to be 18 for that) so all bills would need to be on a meter or pre-paid. Bide your time at home and save up as much money as you can so that when you are 18 you can get yourself a decent place.
Oh, is this where the wind up posts go these days? It used to be in B&S.
i had alot of problems with my mother when i was sixteen soi moved in with a friend and blew all my money and with so much stuff to pay it really was to much for me. you can either try and wave on what your parents or see if you can stay with another family member. your to young to have money and stress problems.
Boo is right.
You can declare yourself homeless but council homeless accommodation is pretty dire. You will struggle to get sufficient income from benefits and most of all you will be alone.
Rethink your decsion and maybe try and work it out, if you are assaulted and pushed about, then maybe leaving is the better option.
I don't know your circumstances but if you have ever had any social work involvement then you will still be entitled to a service and they might be able to assit you.
be very honest with yourself are you a b' at home do they have reasons to be shouting.the others are proberly right, but i know wot it like to be sworn at all the time.... when i was a kid i did leave home as soon as i turned 16.. i was glad did well for myself and was happy.the fact ya being sworn at sounds like ya a sensitive person and although ya parents love you they may be less so...ask yaself was ya childhood happy, dont judge ya parents, teenagers are not the easist to get along with...if ya do leave home get advice from social service.do you really want to end up on benifits in council accomadation.it a circle that hard to break...i was one of the lucky ones who did well at 16 on my own you maybe too.but satistics show otherwise...good luck hope it all works out for you
