Ford Ka Cigar Lighter/Power Socket

I use the Cigar Lighter for charging, it used to work but not any longer, any ideas as to why and fix-its?

Is it the lighter and not the chargers ?
Try something else if this doesn't work check the fuses.
If all seems ok it might be the prongs inside the female end
If thats ok pull the lighter female end out check Wiring.
If all looks ok buy a new one...............
