Hi

I've had problems with sensitive skin that seems to react easily to some products.  I have an oliy forehead and cheeks, but dry nose and chin!! awkward!  Can anyone recommend any moisturisers etc

I have a pretty mixed complexion too and for ten years I've been fighting with it.  These days I use products for either normal or dry skin, as I find using products for oily skin irritates my dry bits more than using products for my dry skin irritates my oily bits! The anti-oil products just make my skin so tight, and I've come to the conclusion that I need some kind of oil in my moisturiser or it just feels wrong.  I have found Simple products to be quite good but I also love Lush moisturisers (Celestial is my favourite) but it is kind of pricey...

try Liz earle, its good for sensitive skin, but do patch test first

I have combination skin too and I just treat the different areas with different products.  I use a rich moisturiser on my cheeks and neck and an anti-shine gel on my nose and chin before applying foundation in the morning, and a night cream on cheeks and neck and 'oil balancing fluid' on my nose and chin at night.  Once a week I use a moisturising mask on dry bits and a clay mask on oily bits (Lush make great ones) and I occasionally use those pore strips on my nose too.  On the sensitivity thing, products made with more natural ingredients and less chemicals (like Lush or as mentioned Liz Earle) are less likely to cause a reaction, but as woofgang says, a patch test is always a good idea.

I am the same, i use nivea day cream (the one in the pale blue pot with a white lid) and avon nightcream (the one in the dark blue pot with the white lid).

 

I have never found anything better than these two
