Hi squad the reason I ask is that I take Bonviva but a recent letter from the hospital has it down as Bonefos and I didnt know if it was just another brand name.
No they have completely different actions.
Bonefos....does not strengthen bones and should not be used in Osteoporosis.
Bonviva ...does strengthen bone and is used in Osteoporosis.

Are you being treated for Osteoporosis?
Question Author
Yes and been on Bonviva for a couple of years. I have never taken Bonefos so I will tell the hospital to put the right one on my records as it is their mistake. Many thanks
