They were prescribed by my GP. They seem to have kicked in but I would like to know what type of Butter/low fat spread to use to avoid toilet problems. I've started to use Flora Proacitv but wondred if Bertoli would be better or are both wrong. Anyone out there with a solution as I don't like dry Rivita or Crackerbread. Been having Weightwatchers frozen meals as they appear to be low fat according to the ingredients. Any help greatly appreciated.

I think anything with fat in will give that reaction with those tablets. Have you tried Laughing cow extra light triangle cheeses. I find they aren't too bad on crackers or toast.
Check the fat content. On those tablets if you eat anything over 4.0 mg of fat you will be on the loo a lot. I had to give them up as I had a bad reaction to them.

Thanks very much will try Laughing Cow extra lite and watch out for more than 4.0mg fat and see what that does.
Friend of mine took them lost 3st he was told not to eat anything with fat in it once he had take the tablet then he started to leak all the time from the back passage( oil like goo) he was rushed in to A&E with severe chest pains he was told NEVER to take them again. As with all drugs are the side effects worth it?
but if you are eating low fat anyway shouldnt you be able to lose weight without the tablets?

its not a critisism, I am just curious :)
