Can anyone recommend a book on overcoming emotional abuse and changing the way you think? It would be more a book for when you have left a violent relationship rather than still being in it.

How about your local library, that way you could dip into several books to find what suits you without dishing out loads of dosh on ones that aren't right for you.
I read some books by a lady called Patricia Evans. They were a great help but I think they were probably more apt for whilst being in the relationship. "The verbally abusive relationship" was one of them and "Verbal abuse survivors speak out". They were both good reads.
Look up "pattern changing" books when searching.
