hi, i need some help once again!
my sister is 20 years old and her hair has rapidly started to fall out. She used to have lovely thick hair, and in the last couple of months i should think it has thinned to 1/3 of its original thickness. she has just been on the phone to my mum in tears, as she doesn't know what to do. i just wondered if anyone knew of any remedies, shampoos, pills, medication, specific diets or anything that could help to stop the hair loss and even make the hair grow back. thanks very much! xxx

might be an obvious answer but i would suggest going to the doctor promptly and getting a prescription out for something from the chemist.
i would imagine that retail items you could get without any prescription or whatnot would not be very effective in helping stop your sister's hair loss as it sounds very serious.
sorry i can't be of more help and good luck.

Sudden hair loss could be a symptom of something else - a thyroid problem, for example. Your sister should definitely see a doctor!

your sister could be run down and she needs to see the doctor before it gets any worse,, a simple safe remedy to thicken hair is to drink nettle tea, you can get it at health stores, nettles are a tonic and also promote hair growth. you need to drink it 3 times a day and after a few weeks you will notice the difference i cant give you any other remedys as she needs to be diagnosed by a doctor as it could be a hormone imbalance and it needs to be checked asap,, mullein

many years ago I suffered from alopecia and doctor told me there was no cure for it. An old German told me to rub an onion on my head, in desparation I tried it and it stopped the hair fallout. I later told a friend who had the same problem and it worked for him too!
