I initially went to the Doctors beacause I felt down, had insomnia and just couldn't eat. I felt slightly dizzy / lightheaded. I have been on Mirtazapine for 6 weeks and can sleep better , can eat, my mood has lifted but I still feel lightheaded/ dizzy around my eyes. In a bit of a dream like state. My pharmacist said that all drugs have some side effects. I can't decide whether its me or the medication. Anyone else have any side effects? Thanks

SMH13, Your pharmacist is right. All anti deps have side effects like dryness of the mouth, tremors, vivid nightmares, weight gain, can cause sinus problems and leave you feeling like a bit of a zombie. All of these side effects may not apply to you so dont worry ok? Hopefully the dizziness will wear off as the drug gets into your system. If not have a chat with your gp.

chinadog, thats kind of you for answering. Thanks
Most ot these type of drugs are horrible to start with and get better the longer that you take them.

Stick it out - it will be SO worth it in the long term. And the improvement in the weather will also help a little also.
