i have an adorable white guinea pig that we got this past oct. she is approx. 3-4 months old. she always let me hold her for long periods of time and would just sit with me and sleep. all of sudden she started to bite. and yes she draws blood. it broke my heart with the change in her behavior. is there anything i can do to stop her from biting me. she is eating very good and drinking water. she still is very vocal with us but now she is biting. help us.

Thats a tough one to be honest. I'm guessing there is something or someone that has scared her, hence her biting defence.

Do you have any children?? or has someone she doesn't know held her recently??

I think if you try and pick her up in a towel and just allow her to sit on your lap for a while. Stay really still, don't move your hands around her or her face.

She will need to learn to feel comfortable around humans again, its not just you that she has a problem with.

give her time, she will be back to normal soon.

Good Luck.
