It does for some - it didn't work for me when I resorted to it to help me stop smoking.
depends what you use it for I had some for backache when physio gave me little relief and it worked well
Ive spoke to a few people who go for it all the time, says its great but it didnt work for my back tho.
I am a great believer in holistic treatments. But although many are great supporters of acupuncture it didn't work for my bad back. Try it and see, it may well work on you.
Years ago I knew a woman who got her hip replaced using acupuncture as the anaesthetic (well that's what she said) it's been around for 1000s of years so there must be some truth in it.
Would YOU have your hip replaced under acupuncture?

After being around for 1,000 of years, one would have thought that it's efficacy would be established by now..........it hasn't......any guesses why?
No I would'nt have my hip replaced using that method (I found it surprising too) but the proof of the pudding is in the eating or rather convincing people to part with their money (one of the hardest tasks of all) acupuncture is big in the east so it must work to some degree as it's been around for so long.
I have said this on a post before, I had a really bad back and before I was diagnosed with spinal cancer accupuncture was the only thing that eased the pain so at least give it a try, ask your gp if you can have it, as far as I know you can get the first 5 tretments on the NHS, I did.
