surgery

25 years ago I stood on a seweing needle which broke in two, my doctor tried to get it out at the local cottage hospital but failed, I was transfered to another hospital who advised that the needle would work its way out itsself, this never happened and I am now experiencing throbing and pain from it, I know it is still in the same place as I broke a bone in my foot a few years back and saw it on the x-ray. My question is, would I be able to get this needle removed soon or would I have to go on a waiting list to get this done?

If it's causing a problem then see your GP and ask for a referral.

The waiting time will probably depend on the waiting list for wherever you're having it done and their priority listing.
