if a nurse is sent to see you at home from a hospice does this mean that you are terminally ill

nope - there are many types of hospices and not all of them are for the terminally ill

it could mean that, but it could also mean the nurse has come to offer very useful advice about pain and symptom control, and to point you in the right direction for other agencies who would also be able to help, like getting equipment (hospital beds, oxygen, stair lifts, etc) and night or day sitters. hospice isn't just about dying, it's also about living.

hi, i used to work as a macmillan nurse. When i used to come out from the hospice to see people it didnt automatically mean they were going to die. Their speciality is symptom control, so for example, i might see smeone at home who was havng pain from leg ulcers that was poorly controlled, or for a short period while they were having chemo treatment and suffering horrendously from sickness.

if you have questions about your illness (that you WANT to know the answers to) then speak with your doctor

Oh please don`t think that, they are specially trained to give great help advice and yes indeed pain control. Please ask ask ask don`t be in the dark about either the illness or the treatment..
lots of love and luck

A young USA mother met with a serious accident today crossing the road - her v.young children were with her. She looked the wrong way for oncoming traffic.
