Has anyone stopped eating yoghurts and found there digestive system actually improves. I have been eating a yoghurt every evening for years and found recently I was having stomach discomfort especially at night. I have eliminated yoghurst from my diet and seem to be much better. Can yoghurts cause problems like this?

It could be that you have an intolerance to dairy.
if it was the yoghurts then surely you would have suffered this earlier rather than recently?

especially if you have been eating yoghurts for years
Funnily enough I can't drink Yakult or Actimel as they give me slight stomach discomfort. Its very odd specially when they claim to aid digestion. Activia has the same effect so maybe I have an intolerance to dairy. I'm fine with milk though.
If you are fine with milk you do not have an intolerance to dairy.

It could be the enzymes that turn milk into yoghurt that causes the problem
