Over the weekend my fella turned up unexpectedly and I was in my pyjamas with no make up on and I had not yet showered. I was very embarrassed because I normally dress up well for him, and although we have spent nights together, I've never looked that bad, LOL.

Why do we women feel so self-conscious when we've not got our make up on, best clothes on etc?

Dunno, but the very same thing is gonna happen to me soon! I divide my evening into time to tidy up etc and then the last hour b4 he arrives to sort myself out...god one day if he catches me in my comfy clothes, hair all screwed up in a pony tail, make up less, I would want to be swallowed up....but sometimes it gets on my nerves being like it, its like a big performance before he shows up and by the time he gets round im knackered...dunno why we do it to ourselves?!!!!

Think it's either a youth thing or a young love thing. Either way, thank Christ I no longer make that kind of effort each time the hubby comes home- i'd be knackered.

And to be frank- he's seen me at worse, legs akimbo and gurning very purpley in the face as I gave birth to his daughter- you don't get much grimmer looking than that I'm afraid.
