I use a product called Lips by a company called Phabel. It is really good but a little more awkward to apply than normal lip balm,it is a cream rather than a stick and comes in a sqeezy tube.

Carmex works a treat
Vaseline.
I would definitely recommend Kiehl's lip balm.
But, you just can't beat good old Vaseline if money is a bit tight.
There's a series of products available here in the U.S. that you might see in the U.K. called Burt's Bees... all products are made form beeswax or honey constituents. The Lip Balm is the best I've used...
I agree with Clanad, Burts Bees lip balm is really good. Vaseline works well too though.

Also don't lick your lips because this dries them out!
Vaseline does not moisturise lips, it protects them.
Carmex! I love it, it's not greasy atall and you can really feel the difference x
The absolute best thing I've ever tried is Blistex Intensive Moisturiser. It comes in a little squeezy white and blue tube.

It actually moisturises your lips as well, rather than just protect them. You know when your lips are sore and you put lip balm on and they don't feel soothed, just protected? Well this makes them feel better right away, it's a miracle product as far as i'm concerned!
ive tried a few and the most moisturising i find is nivea repair. i have excema and find alot of things actually make my lips worse after a bit of initial releif.
