Blurred vision in one eye....

For the past few weeks, I've had blurred vision in my left eye. Best way of describing it is, that when I cover my right eye, it seems that my left eye is looking through cling film.

I've perused Google for symptoms of cataracts, but I'm non the wiser.

I'm due for an eye check next week, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this & what the outcome was.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. My husband tells me that my eyes look clear & healthy enough, so just wondering what it could be in the meantime....

Maybe optic neuritis, but chances are it's not. They'll check it at your eye test - let us know.

Like many others, I don't bother coming on to this site as much as I used to, due to people like you instigator.

Serious answers please.

Thank you too shylock. I've been using Boots eye drops, but all to no avail. I would buy the one you mention, but have just phoned the optician & they said they'll see me tomorrow afternoon, instead of next week. I'll let you know what the outcome is....

Thanks again both.

Whoops, keep thinking it's Friday! I meant the optician will see me on Saturday afternoon (not tomorrow).

Hi smudge! Lovely to see you!
I haven't had blurred vision, but i did have double vision for a while in one eye. It was decided that my eye muscles had packed up for a while, and I was given some strengthening exercises to do, which corrected the problem after a few weeks xx

Hi Bathsheba, lovely to see you too & so glad your eye is okay now.

I'm wondering whether my problem is an ongoing infection, but I'll soon find out on Saturday.

Take care & keep well.

Hi Smudge,
How is your eye now? What did the optician say?

Hi eash - thank you for asking after me.

When I made the appointment, I'd forgotten it was a bank holiday weekend & as we were going to be out & about. I changed it to this Saturday at 12:20, so will let you know after that.

Thanks again. ;o}
