Maybe you have a deviated septum? Close the left one and it will come out of the right!

I think we only breathe through one nostril at a time, usually. If you press your nose a bit below the bridge and to the side you can make it switch to the other nostril.

Some footballers put a plaster on their nose � I think it�s so that they can breathe through both at the same time ... Robbie Fowler used to do that.
