the bbc reported on a british medical journal report that says children walk 6 mins a day each way to school but i can't find the article and 6 mins doesnt seem very far.

I don't know that article, but I think the point that they are making is that the majority get taken to school by car or bus and thus lack exercise. If I have missed the point then please forgive me.
depends where the school is I suppose, some people go by car because its much too far, my daughters school is about a 10 min walk each way, it is not a long walk granted but the idea is that she goes to her local school
it isn't far... probably the time from the car door to the schoolroom and back again.
where does it say that the 6 mins is a result of being driven to school?
It doesn't. That was only an assumption of mine.

it didnt mention kids that get a car to school it said that the children who walk to school on average walk 6 mins each way and thats what seems wrong. it takes me 3/4 ofhour to walk to school if im walking quick and there people that live thurther away than me
