My Grandmother would take a gold ring or any thing made of real gold, rub it hard and fast on a cloth to heat it and then placed it against the sty. I remember, as a child, that it seemed to work... can't hurt to try... on the sty (couldn't resist that)... Best of luck!

my mum swears by the gold ring method. Just rub on the sty and it will definately go.
