Who told you you've pulled a muscle? If it was a doctor in my experience they don't know sh*t about backs. I would recommend a trip to an osteopath. It'll cost you tho that's the only problem. If it's not muscular it wont go away without professional help.
I agree, I had back trouble for months then went to an osteopath (mind you go to one who's recommended) and hey presto, one week later it was over.
I agree with the above, only started to get mine sorted when I found my great osteopath.

Watch yourself if you're taking lots of anti inflammatorys (eg ibruprofen) in case they upset your digestive system.

Keep an eye on your posture as that can have a big effect on your back, make sure you're sitting properly and not slouching or sitting funny.

Hope you feel better soon x
Back pain is tricky to diagnose. it took them an age and two MRI scans for them to tell me I had spinal arthritis and I was only in early thirties. I am one of the extremes.

Because our backs take alot punishment it could be anything and only trial and error will tell.

The above are right give different therapies a go, its worth a try. Some health authorities subsidise alternative therapies and even hold free clinics within health centers. Ask your GP.
