I have been told sum intresting things by a medium recently, just wondering is ther any one that i can talk to online that dosent charge the earth for a reading and do u think their genuine, i really feel theres something i need to know!!

Go to You Tube and type in Derran Brown - find him posing as a medium. As he admits he is not a medium and has no supernatural powers yet somehow he psychicaly knows all about someone else!

It's cold reading and I would be sceptical of anyone who charges for it! Sorry if you are a believer, but after seeing how an ordinary man can do it, I can see how many have learned the art for money! Be careful!

anyone that charges Is a con. The best mediums are found at spiritual evening in a church. They don�t charge but will take donations.

If it is something you really want to know, then I am sure you will find someone who can tell you what you really want to hear.

Doesn�t mean its right, and usually it aint, just a bit of guesswork.

I believe its a big con too but if you google psychic forums theres quite a few places where you can go chat and get free readings. Sorry i don't know the names of the forums, Im not in to it but I know friends who go on them.

three years ago i went to a medium and they told me something bad (yes they gave details) would happen in a "july - 3 years from reading date"...now although i reckon it's a crock of bull i cannot help getting stressed now that july is nearly here. wish i'd never ever gone to see him in the first place.

I thought they were all a con too, but in January my friends Dad died after being in hospital for a while. Her mum went to a medium who said her husband wanted her to know he might have been able to hang on for 23 days but was too tired. He died on his 22nd day in hospital. The medium also told her that he watches her stroke a photo of him every night before she goes to bed, which is true. Also the medium her husband was saying to go for the 12 years when re-mortgaging not 9 years, she was in the process of doing this. I can understand if they say you miss your husband, you're sad blah blah blah but she was saying the above - how do you explain this???

Well if you can give me the exact transcript of the conversation between the two of them I'll happily explain how it was done.

However the idea that a medium could know that somebody who has lost the closest person in their life would be holding a photograph of them on a regular basis is frankly amazing and it has convinced me they have some "powers".

CAJ, I think WoWo has hit on the fundamental points here, not only have you heard this through someone else who was not even there, but its quite likely that this woman in her vulnerable state probably gave much of the information away in the first five minutes and the medium had a clever way of retelling it all back in an �enlightening and insightful� form.

People just want to believe and will often tweak the reality to justify the belief and mask their naivety. It is human nature to be a bit gullible now and again as we expect honesty.

All a load of old rubbish.

For example, the maority of things I would ask will be a basic yes/no so I have a 50% chance of being right. Body language says such a lot, along with the way you speak, dress etc.

Go to your nearest spiritualist church. They have genuine mediums and all they charge is �2-3 . Keep away from from the phone mediums as many of them read from a script and charge and arm and a leg. I've had many a true reading from genuine mediums at spirituaist churches.

My mate was once married to someone who visited and charged the earth doing this stuff.
I told her how i felt and she never spoke to me again.

My mate lost contact with me for a few years due to this .

He Divorced her ...Bet She didnt see that in the Cards...LOL.

He has since reMarried and we keep in touch on a regular basis.

I'm considering picketing Derek Acorah when he comes round here. It's a basic confidence trick on a vulnerable person, not too disimilar to conmen who prey on the elderly.
