Why is it that I never seem to be able to smell other peoples farts on a long-distance aeroplane trip? I mean, Im sure they do them, I certainly do & I can smell my own ok, though nobody seemed to react to a beauty I did last week and Im not sure if they were just being polite or some 'other force' was at work. It's all so tight & cramped in an aircraft so my question really is: have I just been lucky so far or is there some sort of anti-fart technology that the airline boffins have invented? ....& yes I am on holiday at the moment so my mind is sort of ...in neutral. forgive me

I think the flow of recycled air, in an aeroplane hides the smell. Although I've heard that when the landing crew open the door to an airliner when it lands, they are hit by a wall of foul smelling putrid air. Euch.
Now this did make me laugh!
