For severe scarring, then you might want to try Laser skin resurfacing, Microdermabrasion or skin peeling, these treatments should only be carried out by professional skin care specialists and cosmetic surgeons. Apparently these treatments are very effective.

For mild scarring, then massaging in something like Bio Oil may help improve the area. Bio Oil can be purchased in most High Street chemists.
Laser resurfacing is the most effective scar treatment I have seen.

has anyome had, Laser skin resurfacing, Microdermabrasion or skin peeling?
I know someone who had a peel, and although her face was like a baby's bum afterwards.
That doesn't even make sense! Take out the although!

I'm tired LOL
You're right Dakota - two of my friends've had chemical pels, and once the redness'd worn off, they looked fantastic - years younger! On the down side, I understand that if something goes wrong, it can go badly wrong.
And I must be getting tired as well, because I meant "peels" - lol.
I've only ever seen the results on those cosmetic surgery programmes. One young woman who was about 20 and a performing arts student, suffered from very bad acne, which hindered her chances of getting a job.

She had a course of these treatments and her skin looked amazing afterwards. I can't remember what treatment she had though.
