If you had two boys of 9 and 3, would it be possible for you to go away for the weekend and leave them? This would mean leaving your other half to do everything in your absence.

Have you ever left your kids of that age or are they too young? Could you trust your man to run everything in your absence?

I know a woman who went on holiday for 2 weeks across the other side of the world and left her 5 and 2 year olds in the capable hands of her husband. I suppose it just depends on the man really.
chance would be a fine thing. i work weekends and mr gaga looks after baby.
yes she ends up looking like something out of the multi coloured swap shop...usually has eaten everything in sight, and is lying on the carpet incaipible of moving as shes full to the brim with food.
last disaster when i was at work was he took teddy out with them, and promptly lost him. 2 nights of sleepless shenanigans while we waited on another via mail order. an expensive mistake as he cost 35 quid.
i trust mr gaga, he's learning albeit slowly.
Ofcourse I would. Why not. After all he is the father & should share the responsibility of the children. The children, if she`s not careful, could end up being so reliant on mum for everything. What would happen if your friend had to go into hospital ??? Dad would be in charge then.
I went to London for a weekend with a girl friend when my boys were 6 and 4. Mr Spudqueen coped and I made sure I brought them a present back. I did learn from my mistake though of buying too much bacon as apparently all they ate for dinner and tea was bacon butties. I have since been away (to London again, Barcelona, New York and to visit a friend in the States) and each time Mr Spudqueen and the boys have all been here in one piece when I got back!
God sake some people think men cant do nothing, its so annoying im sure they pretend they cant i really do, some men i think can be more maternal than women i know my partner is, his ex walked out for good on there 11 months old baby and he has been bringing him up ever since and we are talking about only a weekend.
Its maddness it does children good sometimes to spend some time just with their Dad its a reality check too to men to see how much us mums do.

Im slpit from my childrens dad and he takes them once a week overnight it was a wake up call to him to see how much is needed to do for kids but it also made him bond with them better.

Your friend i dont think is doing her chidlren any favous by never ever leaving them with anyone! its a bit control freakish to say the least
