After watching Britains favourite view, it made me realise how lucky we are to Live in such a beautiful country, I have two favorite views one is from the top of Both-Y-Gest, near Porthmadog, the other is from the cliffs above Pen-Y-Bryn Beach looking across Cardigan bay, and this is in the correct category because the walk to both is good for the body and the view is good for the soul, How about you, what is your favourite view and why,? thanks all, Ray

The best view in Britain has to be 200 yards up The Mall.

St James Park to the left, Green Park on the right, The Millenium wheel and other skylines behind you and in front Buckingham Palace, the home of England with the big golden angel statue.

You don't have to be a royalist to enjoy that!!!!

I was in Tenby last week Pip - took the boys up on Castle Hill early one morning when the sun was out and we had the whole place to ourselves! We had cakes for breakfast and I showed them Caldey and St Margaret's and Lydstep and took some great photos of them with it all behind them. I'm really quite fed up today to be home, actually, even though I love it here too. I miss the sea.

You'll have to take a trip and catch up. Go after Bank Holiday and you'll have room to spread out - everyone goes home almost immediately and the locals can reclaim their village again!!

Scrap everything I ust said. My favourite view is standing on the somerset levels in the evening and looking towards Glastonbury Tor. It just seems magic, I cant believe I didnt say it first. I think it makes me feel at home, so maybe thats why I love it soo much.

Can someone tell me, the cliffs near beachy head what are they called is that the seven sisters or similar name as the one goods said ? some great places thanks all

Yes the seven cliff heads are called The Seven Sisters.

Thanks wardy, I thought it was, I also love the view you mention, and London from Parliament hill is amazing, and when in the centre of Hyde park, you could be anywhere, so quiet

2 favourite places, the first is a remote spot on an Essex lane near where I was born. It is closed and nobody goes there, except me (and bike!)

The second is unbelievably within 10 miles of central Croydon.

It is a lane that doesn't go anywhere so it gets no traffic.

Quite large pictures, but possibly worth the wait.

driving through wales past the black mountains with a sheer drop and some gorgeous views, the gower penisula is beautiful and peaceful.

In fact anywhere in wales is just gorgeous, I love watching the steam trains puffing away on the mountain sides, bala lake, tenby, devils bridge, snodonia

Hi whiffey was that your bike in the pic ? great views, and Cazzz, what can I say but you have great taste, I am lucky enough to live in Snowdonia, but looking at all the other opinions, we really are lucky to live in a beautiful Country, or should I say world.

My favourite places are all natural: Dartmoor. Devon!! the views are stunning, the weather unpredictable, the atmosphere eerie and desolate, I have spent many weekends driving or walking up there. Also The Valley of Rocks, Lynton in North Devon, some of the most beautiful and unspoilt scenery in the country
