Is this worth doing? What are AB-ers experiences of it? Can anyone recommend me a testing place in the Liverpool / Manchester areas?

I got food sensitivity testing done and I thought it was a waste of time. I know myself that I have a coffee intolerance, and also severe allergies to some fruits, and none of this was ever picked up, but they did tell me that i had intolerances to a few other things which I have had no problems with.

It is possible that those are just slight intolerances of course and that they have never affected me but I would have thought that my more serious allergies/intolerances should have been picked up
I bought my husband allergy/food intolerance testing for Christmas last year! I know but weve been married so long its hard to be original these days. Even whackier (you may think) it came as a result of having a reading with a medium. She kept saying my hubby wasn't well and suggested something wasn't agreeing with him (probably me).
When he returned from his test I fully expected him to confirm problems with salad veg (especially rocket which lives up to its name). No, suspiciously this was fine!?!? He had the most common result - stay off the cows milk and cheese and forget tea and coffee. So he now drinks rooibis tea with goats milk and I can state categorically that he is still the same, down, miserable, and 'not quite well' so and so he was before.
I can also say that its worth paying the extra for his new tea and milk because the flatulence is markedly improved.
I watched a program about this some time ago where they sent for tests at a number of different places and they all came back different with the conclusion being it was a waste of money. I guess the best way would be to try exclusion and reintroduction and a food diary.

Though so ;o)
I had an allergy test done at Dr China (branches nationwide I think). I thought it would probably be a complete rip off but I was suffering so much with IBS I thought anything was worth a go.

The test cost 45 and they took 2 small samples of hair and the results took 2 weeks. The report was really in depth and showed my allergies and intolerances as well deficiencies.

As a result I can honestly say I feel 100 times better having been in almost constant pain for over 3 years
I have read several articles referring to the lab at the top of this page as being the most reliable-uses the most up to date methodology to test for intolerances....www.yorktest.com
