so when in bath lastnight shaving my legs I thought 'my god the things us woman have to go through' and then I thought of all the obvious others, babies, periods etc. So todays debate is between the boys and girls or ladies and gentlemen and I ask 'who has got it tougher?' Would like to know what problems boys have that girls dont.

Stopwatch Octavius? That's about as plausible as the idea that most men get a ruler out at some point in their life to measure their equipment!!
Aside from baldness, I think men have a huge burden with meeting wimin. The ball is definitely in their court on this one. They have to be able to withstand rejection after rejection after rejection and then bounce back and feel positive about asking somebody else out. That's a real toughie. No wonder so many men feel shy or clumsy when it comes to dating. I certainly don't envy them that.
Men are supposedly better at DIY than us girlies though. Me being the exception to this rule of course. I'm better at DIY than most men I know.

My mate has a theory that rejection is to be expected so he will ask every single girl in the room/bar/club out on a date/to spend the night in the hope that at least one of the women says yes.
He isn�t particularly fussy and he is not shy of asking ALL the women, so you can imagine what he often ends up with. The question women should ask themselves when a man comes up and chat�s you up, is �how many women told him to eff-off before he got to me?�

Bras. Bras are a pain. Well for those of us more....er.... busty ladies. As happened this week I arrived at the gym having forgotten a sports bra, and so had to go home to get one and then go back to the leisure centre again because bral-ess boobies on a treadmill is not an option. It is not only unattractive but also bl00dy dangerous.

the working thing is a good point but some woman can argue that they would like to work for longer than get bored at home, dont know what blue balls are, dont know why or even want to know why you get stiffys on trains or buses, fixing car and garden single ladies have to do too, and as for finishing before her you shouldnt be selfish and work a bit longer on her :-) and hey pretending is hard for woman too. Especially when blokes buy underwear for us :-)

It's hard work acting pretty, we can't burp, fart or have smelly trainers, which means constant maintence like shaving, waxing, plucking, exfoliationg, toning, straightening, smoothing, moisturising, whitening, filing, shaping, etc.

Women definitely have it worse. The period thing (both physical and emotional effects) tips the scale. I also think that what Supernick said about men�s roles being eroded also applies to women (even more so). I guess it would be easy to be a woman if you happily accept the stereotypical female role that has been so accurately described in this thread by �ensnaring a provider and sitting back and looking pretty�. These days though, people are actually realizing that women aren�t just sex objects that they can do most things just as well as men. This is a good thing. I don�t understand how women deal with not being taken seriously on so many fronts just because they are female. My wife hates it. That�s right, I�m a male. So women that do want to be recognized as intelligent human beings have the challenge of being strong and independent, but still maintaining their role as a woman. This seems to be a very difficult thing to do. It�s definitely much easier being a male in my opinion.

As a man, you can pretty much get ready to go out in 20 minutes flat (five minutes to shower/shave, five minutes to dry off and five minutes to apply hair gel, aftershave and five minutes to get dressed).
Not only do we have to do less to appear presentable, but we don't even have to worry about which shoes go with which outfit. everything is made easy.
However, there's a group that you're all forgetting who have it worse than men or women...
...and that's gay men. It takes us flipping ages to get ready. Generally if we're going out on a Saturday, we start getting read on the Tuesday beforehand.
Count your lucky stars people....
