Hi everyone. I'm thinking about buying an epilator but was just wondering how long the hair has to be for the tweezers to 'grab' it? Also, has anyone tried the philips ice epilators where you put the attatchment in the freezer first, are they any good?
Any advice welcome.

It does get quite short hairs. 1-2mm usually. The more you use it, the less obvoius the regrowth is because it eventually grows back slighty patchy. In the summer i do my legs every couple of days, or about twice a week in winter. But there is barely any hair there each time i use it.
I use mine for my legs only ..tried bikini and underarms but it hurt like hell!! Daren't try it again ,i'm a wimp, shaving or waxing is better IMO LOL !!
I have the phillips satin ice and it is great. I use it for my underarms. The first time i used it i used the ice pack and it still hurt but after a couple of goes i got used to it and now i dont use the ice pack at all. it is the best thing i have ever used and the regrowth is so fine you hardly notice it. I will never go back to shaving
I use my epilator for my legs (rarely now) and my under arms. I dont find that it hurts my under arms at all, probably as I've been doing them for a while now. I wouldnt go back to waxing or shaving.
I think epilators are the way forward - a one off payment of around 50 and think of the money you will save on visits to the beauty salon. I love my epilator - it picks up even really short hairs which is great - deffinatley advise every girl to have one!!
