What is the fluid that comes out of a graze? Instead of bleeding it seems to be clear and quite sticky. I was just wondering if any of you know what it is called or what it is actually made up of? Thanks in advance.

Its plasma, the straw coloured liquid that carries blood cells and platelets around the body.
.....referred to at this stage as serum, which is plasma minus the coagulation/clotting factors such as fibrin. Your body's defence mechanisms have worked on the wound and sealed it up. 'Plasma' does not really exist outside the body unless you donate blood and the NBTS take it into bags containing anticoagulants.
I stand corrected by someone of greater intelligence! : )
