My favourite smell is stainless steel because it reminds me of the colour of a motor bike. However I just can not stand the smell of broken glass.
I can't really say it here but it sounds nautical, it's namesake is now in Manchester and was between the posts for England.
I would have to say that my favourite smell is that of coal burning in all the fire places of all the houses in my Dad's home town which was buildt around a colliery. There is something very nostalgic about that smell and the fact that it reminds me of happy days (like Christmas) with my grandparents.
I love the smell of those sweets - Cherry Drops. Mmmmmmmmmm!

Freshly cut grass and, as above, Baby Powder (without the baby) lol and Petrol mmmm Also the smell of the air on a hot sunny morning :o)
sorry to be so predictable and normal; my fav smell is the Tabu perfume, it reminds me of love, a seemingly distant dot on the horizon of my fading memory. . .
my 2nd fav is CastrolX racing oil. :-) [you did say favorite smell(s)], didn't you Quattro?
Mt all-time favourite is 'Poison' perfume - for a lost love. I also love bonfires - they remind me of music festivals, Germoline reminds me of being little, the distinctive smells of all my children, and maggots - yes I know that's weird, but it reminds me of my grandmother taking me for walks where she lived, past the pools where the fisherman sat and the smell of their baitboxes is another nostalgia stimulus.
The smell of nettles growing beside a river reminds me of my childhood spent on a farm - the freedom I took for granted - and the meadows which have been turned into a huge housing estate.

Another evocative one is Castol R racing oil, eh xyzzy? Heady days, travelling round on the back of a fabulous motorbike!!

Petrol and the smell of 2-Stroke racing oil at a Motorcycle race, sounds made but it really is one of the most amazing smells.
one of my faverourite smells is johnsons baby lotion, its just lovely.
*favourite
witch hazel. It reminds me of having many a childhood bump or sprain patched up.
Neat Dettol, permanent marker pens, and Joop for men - It makes any man irresistable!
My favourite smell is "Moonflower" perfume from Bodyshop. It reminds me of something in my childhood but I cannot think what it is!
As a child I loved the smell of petrol, my mum was horrified when I breathed in the lovely aroma and said I would grow up to be a drug addict. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Castrol R
