I seem to be suffering from this lately but cannot pinpoint what is triggering it. I suspect it may be our cat which we got 6 months ago. I don't really want to get rid of him as my 8 year old will be heartbroken. Can the doctor confirm what is causing it by tests?

Mine gets worse when theres lots of dust in the air, pollen or even when there are storms about (a very common trigger for new asthma cases)

Im allergic to my cats (ive had 6 over the years) but as long as i wash my hands after petting and dont touch my eyes or face then im generally ok. Also wise to brush your cat every day to get rid of loose fur.
Cats are killer for me too, also feathers, dogs, house dust, tree pollen, grass, etc. I was told by the asthma clinic to stay away from my friends cats and right enough it only gets bad in that environment. If you can`t part with your treasured pussy, do try to keep it out your bedroom as thats where it will probably be worse with he/she lying on your bed.
Ask your GP if you can try Seretide if you`re not already on it. If I get a bad attack during the night I use that and get a great sleep right through till morning. I think it last for up to 8 hours. Also ask for a skin allergy test.

mdoo98 That was my doctors orders to "keep the pussy out of the bedroom" and you know what he was dead right.
