bile . is secreted from the gall bladder which gives it the colour
The liver removes the yellow-brown pigment bilirubin (formed as ageing red blood cells are dismantled) from the blood and sends it, via the gall bladder and bile duct, to the intestines, where it colours the faeces brown.
I thought it was because if you mix all colours together you end up with brown!
Lol liquidspace !
Im still going with liquidspace :-)
Then how come babies poo is more yellow?
I thought it was to do with dead red blood cells too. We were told this in a biology lesson. It perhaps is a simplified answer, but here must be some truth in it.
babies poo is more yellow as they don't have many ageing red blood cells,
more people talking sh!te on AB
brown ???..oh just You wait til You take Iron tablets , You will think Your dying .lol
bile is green - but the bacteria in your gut break it down so poo is brown - babies don't have as many so it's a different colour
