To help Mowbray and all those touched by cancer, I am adding this to keep her request on the front page of B&S. I hope the Ed doesn't mind. Please don't report me.

Hello Gesso,

Does anybody have any ideas on how to advertise the site above so people can donate more.

I have connacted my local radio stations but have had no reply.

Thank you all for your kind support.

God bless!xxxx

this is what my post said:

Dear all,
My mum has had both Breast and Cervical cancer in October of last year. We have just found out that she has Cancer again, she will undergo 25 sessions of Radiotherapy which will hopefully shrink the tumour.
I'm taking part in the Great Women's Run in association with Cancer Research UK 2006 on 25th June 2006 to raise money for Cancer Research UK and would really welcome your support. This run is 10k.
Please take a moment to sponsor me and help find a cure for this horrible disease.
It's really easy - you can donate online by credit or debit card at the following address:
http://www.justgiving.com/Luisa2
All donations are secure and sent electronically to Cancer Research UK. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will automatically reclaim 28% Gift Aid on your behalf, so your donation is worth even more. Please join me in supporting Cancer Research UK and a fabulous cause.
Thank you and best wishes,
Katherine
P.s if there is anyone you may know who wishes to donate to Cancer Research UK please forward the above link.

Hi Ray. Thanks. Love Karen Victoria xx

I see the thermometer on your link is going up steadily!

Question Author

Ray, your turn tomorrow for the next posting to keep this going to the top!

Question Author
Sorry, Mowbray, the second part of my first answer to Ray should have been addressed to you.
That's nice. I did a 5k and 10k last year in honour of my Mum and Dad. My Dad had testicular cancer as a young man and my Mum's been fighting ovarian and cervical cancer for the last 6 years and is now "terminally ill" though we still hope she'll get better somehow. (She's my mum, so she has to get better, of course.)

Good luck on the run - make sure you wear thick socks because I really killed my toenails last year and they've still not grown back properly! x
Would just like to add my wholehearted support to you and your Mum Mowbray. My sister in law has been through breast cancer and my dear old Dad and a brother in law died from cancer many years ago.Good luck to you ..we support cancer research and hope that one day a cure will be found for this dreadful disease.
Be lucky and put plenty of cream on your tootsies ! xx
PS Kindest thoughts and best wishes for your Mum too Malaise .xx

This is the link to the original thread, hope it works:
