Hi Scream. I have a book, 'A Test of Time', which is based on the Channel 4 series of the same name. The series was shown in 1995 I think (the book was published that year). The series compared archaeological evidence with the Bible, and was really interesting. I was studying Egyptology at the time, so the book was really useful too! x.
Get satellite/cable - there's loads of that sort of thing on Discovery/Nat Geographic and the other documentary channels.
Michael Wood did a few series but I can't remember how long ago.I think they were less than 20 years ago.The first series included Robin Hood. There was one on the Trojan war,and more recently he did Alexander The Great. And there was a series on the Domesday Book.BBC Books published tie-ins.
Magnus Magnusson did a series in 1977 which compared episodes in the Bible with archaeological evidence. purplelily above mentioned the other series I remember.
