spuds, wholemeal bread, baked beans ... quick dose of fibogel?
another quick cure is sweetcorn.

If you just increase the amount of fruit and veg you eat that should do the trick. Also wholemeal bread/crispbreads.

Liquorice is very good in emergencies(if you know what I mean!)

Have one banana and a mini box of raisins a day. (or more if you want!)

If not a vindaloo should clear you out :-)

For a quick-fix, eat a bag of dried prunes, Danni. That'll clear you out! ;o)

Other foods include:-

- Wholemeal, granary and softgrain varieties of bread
- Jacket potatoes / new potatoes in their skins
- Wholemeal pasta and brown rice
- Beans, lentils and peas
- Fresh and dried fruits particularly if the skins are eaten
- Vegetables particularly if the skins are eaten
- Nuts and seeds

Oh, and red wine and coffee have a laxative effect! :o)
Beetroot works wonders for me.
angie, beetroot works for me too but i always panic at the sight of poo after lol.

I found that a dozen or so dried apricots usually get things moving pretty quick. Raisins, prunes and figs all help.

All fresh fruit and veg is good and drinking half a pint of fresh oranges juice a day is really good for you.

In future, try sprinkling some bran on or in all your food. You can't taste it but will help things along. This also applies to a spoonful of flax seed

Good luck and happy dumping !!!

lol red,

I know exactly what you mean

If these food suggestions don't work for you and you are in discomfort, you can buy glycerin suppositories from the pharmacist - they're not as "explosive" or gut churning as laxatives !!!
make sure you're drinking lots of water too - this is almost as important as the fibre. Someone suggested to me hot water with lemon at breakfast time also does the trick!

Thanks for all your ideas, I will try some of them out and see how I go (boom boom!!)

I think its best for you lot if I don't keep you posted about how its all going though ;-) lol!! x

Hi Danni, eat a load of onions followed by sweetcorn & prunes and some laxative, I will come round with my plunger and rubber gloves, I will fetch a funnel and some mr muscle, I guarentee we will get you going, we might not be able to stop you ,but you won't feel bunged up anymore, Iv'e got loads of blotting paper and a hairdryer as well, give us a call!!! Ray

squiperly is bang on. Liquorice is by far the best. Try Panda Liquorice (Organic from all supernarkets). If not plain old Bertie Bassetts will do.

Also try prune juice (expensive) but will do the trick.

Danni

Buy Psyllium husks (about 2 on ebay for a big pack) just mix with water and drink. It is actually the best form of fibre and doesn't have a taste. Good luck
