Hi Blyss, how are you coping with hubby away?
I often listen to my spoken word tapes on in-ear phones, they soon make me drop off to sleep.

Blyss-It sounds like you're having a bit of anxiety or panic at night. I know what you mean about the voices, but I promise you its not voices. First of all, at night we are more sensitive to sounds, especially if you are alone in a room or a house. Most of the time when we are nervous or anxious and we try to fall asleep, our bodys can relax quicker then our minds. So one reason for hearing things could be because when you start to fall asleep your brain is still going a mile a minute, and you can start dreaming pretty fast. The dream could be not even a second, it could be of someone yelling or simply saying a word.....and then it wakes you up. You feel as if you werent sleeping, but you were, it's just your body is relaxing quicker then your mind.

I hope I explained that alright. Read a book and drink a glass of milk before bed, that will help calm you, and clear your thoughts. Imagry is also a great way to relax. Put the fan on and focus on the sound of the fan, and then imagine yourself somewhere that makes you comfortable.
