I keep getting a sensation like there is a fly crawling across my cheek. If I rub it the sensation goes away but sometimes it comes back after a few seconds. It is so realistic that I have got up and peered at myself in a mirror but there is nothing there, not even a stray hair.

Any ideas? Should I go and see a doctor?

that has happened to me several times, to realize it's a strand of hair hanging from my head thats on my face.
OMG I can't stop scratching now Clanad!!! lol
I have a similar thing but in my case it's because I suffered a brain injury as a child and it was one of the reasons that I once had a mistaken diagnosis of schizophrenia!!!??! A slight bump on the head can sonetimes cause this sensation which I can vouch is very realistic, so have you ever really bumped your head moderately hard? If so then I'd not worry about it too much but see your Dr if you are really concerned.

I think I prefer the bump on the head theory to the mites!

Thanks for your answers
Or if you believe in psycic stuff you could believe someone 'on the other side' is trying to get your attention. I often get a tingling either on my hair or face when someone wants contact or a tingling down my leg or side when someone is close. Up to you what you believe in
