Mirror question(s)

How come when you press your nose against a full length misrror and look down you can still see the floor in the reflection?

Also, if two mirrorss were setup to face each other what would image would they reflect?

hi cockney, I find mirrors both fascinating and a little spooky. We have a medium sized one on our hallway wall facing the stairs. The door to our living room is on the wall to the right of the mirror, but if I press my nose to the mirror and look to the right I can see the entire room including the tv which is right at the back of the room. My fella has tried to explain it to me loads of times, something to do with light refraction I think, but it goes way over my head.

I used to have a mirror at the bottom of the stairs too...used to check out my reflection on the way down, yeas I'm a (typical) male...and then miss the bottom two steps and stumble the rest of the way.

haaa haaa I done that too, though usually I stumble when I turn sideways on the 4th step up to see how much my tummy is sticking out. :)
