Fibroids can be detected by CT scan, sometimes even by accident (when scanning for something else). I'll leave this one open to Sqad who will no doubt be able to answer it better than I can - that's if he's no longer on stike :)

Thanks both.
Can a CT Scan Detect Fibroids? Although uterine fibroids can sometimes be detected on a Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, this is not considered the most accurate method. Most often, only calcified fibroids appear on CT scans. The preferred imaging method for detecting fibroids is an ultrasound or MRI.1 Apr 2021

surprising what one learns if you google

Thanks very much Peter.

I try not to Google too much after frightening myself half to death many years ago, after becoming convinced I had womb cancer. Fortunately I didn't, but a fibroid was found.

I did try to Google my question above but couldn't find a definite answer. Perhaps I wasn't looking in the right places. We're so lucky we have helpful people here on Answerbank.
