How have you managed to come to the conclusion his behaviour is honourable?
1. He managed to drive himself into a dead end so really this was his only course of action.
2. Durham Constabulary have a stated policy of not issuing retrospective fines, and therefore it's pretty much a dead cert he won't be fined.
3. I note he refused to answer whether he would resign if Durham Constabulary confirm it was against the rules, but they will not issue an FPN as it would be retrospective.
4. Given he was calling for Johnson's resignation whilst Johnson was being investigated, if Starmer was truly honourable, as he's now being investigated he should resign - otherwise it's rank hypocrisy.
5. Starmer is a liar - for months it's been stated Raynor wasn't there, but when proof was provided that she most definitely was there, it then becomes a "genuine mistake".
6. Starmer is a liar - this was a beer and curry social after a day of work. I have zero problem with that, but don't take us all for mugs and insist work continued after the beer and curry social.
Like it loathe it, but kudos to The Daily Mail for exposing Starmer's lies.
Personally I don't think Starmer should be fined (or investigated for that matter), and I didn't think BJ should have been fined for not eating cake either - these are trivial matters - but for somebody who was so very very vocal about BJs non-eaten birthday cake, when the beer and curry social was worse, he really should have kept his trap shut.
Starmer has been far from honourable.
