What's long hair got to do with it ? I had long hair in the 70's, I have gone a bit bald since but still have a pony tail, why not tuck it into a shower cap and then wax him ( her ) as long as you hold them down and talk to them, trying to look calm. then go for it.
I would cut the hair with scissors to a suitable length and then wax as usual. I am not sure if using a trimmer which can on occaision split the cut hair may be better or worse.
Try it on our partner first.
I find it less painful to pull the hairs from my chest in clumps than the time I had a wax strip pulled off it. This was for an op I hasten to add.
dont know if this helps but i was an avid fan of the salon and i saw them waxing hairy hairy men a lot. They always used a hair trimmer, no idea what grade it was on but thats what they did.
we used clippers in our salon and a guard to rid the client of excess hair then wax away the rest. If you use a size 3/4 guard there should be hair long enought to get a hold of the wax and depending on the length you may want to use a smaller one i.e 2/3. Hope that helps.
