I don't see it as a confidence issue, if family get togethers couldn't happen then many would be upset but they'd be safe.

i think that people will make up their own minds on what is safe this Christmas, many seem as though they are staying alone, or within a small bubble.

No. I doubt anyone would take any notice anyway. Because the government's first duty is to protect the rights of the people; and if it fails to do that it gets civil disobedience as a result.

If get togethers are banned then so be it. I don't think it is a Boris related issue though. I would rather keep safe than sorry.
