I have slight scoliosis I am 43 and do all manner of sports etc.I can't see that my spine is different niether anyone else. if a specialist can then bully for him.
Don't be upset. Has it caused him any problems so far?
If it was bad and he needed steel rods up his back this would have been done when he was a child or 14 yrs old.
Your labour has nothing to do with it .
If you want to call it a deformity you can but I like to see it as different. We are all different.
Does it cause him any problems if it doesn't it isn't a problem. I mean look at the hunchback of Notre Dam now THATS scoliosis and look at the babe he pulled.
Scoliosis like other so called disabilitities is only a disability if you think it is. If it hasn't bothered him till his 20's it really can't be that bad you aren't to blame. I have 5 boys and none of them have it.
let him enjoy life. it is far more important he has a good loving heart and doesn't vote conservative or thinks Tony Blair and GW Bush are great leaders of men.
http://www.iscoliosis.com/causes.html . This explains it. The reason I was interested is that my daughter was born with the help of forceps after a long labour. Although she is older than your son and doesn't have any problems.

Thanks mangopete at least you made me laugh, good link maggie- thanks both x
I had it, as did my father and uncle on my mother's side. My physio said if you catch it before 30 and exercise every day, basically they showed me how to manually push it back or bend it directly, and after a couple of years it was gone. If you start before 20 it'll go in less than a year, I was well over 20 before mine was even diagnosed.
