Scientifically the electrical impulses do make the muscles twitch and that can have a tonig effect. *But* like most exercise gimmicks most end up in a cupboard unused. To get good muscle tome and fitness you need to exercise the muscle through a range of motion and make the muscle work. The exercise gimmick industry relies on the principle that lazy people want a quick way to stay fit. I personally (I'm not an exercise nazi - really - i just hate the snake oil sales tactics used by these guys) think the answer is to find a form of exercise that you enjoy - then the motivational hurdle gets lower........

Yes, it works, BUT... not as well as real exercise would. If it gives you the motivation to do proper exercise on top, then that's all well and good, but I'd say the Flex is badly overpriced for what it does.
