Ok my periods have always been short - never more than 3 days long. Never every 28 days but always every month. Never miss one. Last month completely normal. Last Monday I started again but it was different. I was in absolute agony pain wise and was in tears. Was passing huge clots as well. Decided if still as bad next day I would go to doctor but pain cad cleared by about 80%, and was then gone the next day. 9 days later and I’m still bleeding - has been fairly light until about an hour ago when I went to the loo and the flow is basically like I’m weeing. I feel absolutely fine and don’t want to bother anyone unnecessarily but not sure what’s going on?

Given what you describe I think it's utterly appalling that you couldn't get a face to face appointment. I bet the GP was thinking "Oh, if I give her a prescription for something I can put the phone down quickly and get back to my game of golf".
I don't agree, diddlydo, what can a doctor say face to face that they can't say over the phone?
Feedback appreciated........advice seems reasonable.
If I was bleeding that much I'd be glad to have a phone consultation rather than go to the surgery.

Glad you did speak to someone, smowball.
