Hi am desperate for some help for friend last week she had a severe panic attack and left a store with a trolley, she was taken back and the police were called, She explained what had happened but the police came and issued her with a penalty of £80. She was in the room for an hour so agreed to take the notice. She has paid it. She is very upset as she has shopped there for years, Now she is worried with the store tell her employer, will she get anymore letters regarding this. She is on medication and I believe her it was totally out of character but cant find any answers for her on the net She is constantly crying and feels suicidal

She's paid it! Nothing to worry about...and no, they won't tell her employer.
A fixed penalty notice is NOT a conviction. Once paid that is the end of it! There can be no more reference to it unless she needs an 'enhanced disclosure ' CRB , or whatever the new name for it is!
