Another Wonderful Day In A & E ...
39 Answers
... Mrs B had a bit of a lie-in this morning as she was late to bed last night.
Woke up about 10:00, sat up then got up all in one movement and promptly passed out bashing her head on the fixtures and fittings on the way down. she was spark-out when I got there, quick airway and pulse check then hit 3 nines. She was coming round by the time they arrived, less than 10 minutes. Was taken into Margate to be checked over, then kept in all day just to be sure.
Brought her home about ½ hour ago, seems to be ok for the moment.

Crikey Baldric more A&E you and yours need a guardian angel. I do hope that Mrs B is OK. Sounds like low blood pressure on awakening and then sudden action causing keel over. Pair of head bangers you are. Joking aside, well done with the rapid response and I hope she is now comfy and settled.

I passed at the bus stop when I was 13. My Mum said she would never forget the sound of my head hitting the pavement. Someone called an ambulance and I was taken to the local 'Infirmary' The doctor told me to squeeze his hands and follow his finger which he traced across my face. That was it - I was sent home on the bus with the 1 mile walk from the bus stop back to our village. I was so concussed that I could have fallen asleep on my feet. I was later taken, kicking and screaming to another cottage hospital (Ilfracombe) for the night but I still never really had any proper checks. It's a good that things are better now.
