How disappointing Jack.

How boring is life without hunchbacked one-legged dwarf lesbians.
Might as well sleep through it all.

Actually the expression is derived from a columnist in the Daily Telegraph over 40 years ago to poke fun at political correctness.
"Political correctness?"

"Does not compute!!!!"

Good job you're in Oz so you don't get on here when Mikey's on.
I do sometimes Jack, but just have a wry smile,,,,and another beer.
I don't see an issue with the Doctor being female or black. If they can act the part that's all that matters.
I think the next ' Dr Who' should be a 3 headed 16 legged crab monster from Alpha Centauri . Time for a non human to have the role!
He contradicts himself a bit though, "...a black person or a woman", does he mean a black man or a black woman, or basically any woman would do? No matter how you read it, it doesn't really add up.
Unless whatever he said has been changed by the BBC - it has been known!
Neither a black person or a woman have played the part so either or both.
he doesn't demand that the woman should have two legs or be straight.
I can see a classic sci-fi programme disappearing up it's own fundament before much longer.
How on earth could the next Bond be female or black ?

Read the books........he couldn't be more white and male if he tried !

Harewood is a fantasist here.
Here I am 1ozzy !
Oh, were we not discussing Dr Who?
Mikey - I have never read any Doctor Who books (or Bond) so it would make no difference to me and I'm sure to many many others.
I beg people pardons....posting on to many fronts as usual !

Yes, the new Doctor can be anything that he or she wants them to be.
Doctor who cares....?
The article...and Harewood's remarks...seem pretty straightforward. Why do some ABers make it more complicated?
The character is a white skinned male though. They may have an excuse to transform "him" into anything they like but to cease the consistency would be just to play to the PC brigade.
