Not really, Diesel. How's your back?

Spot on Tilly.
Diesel...you really need to let a doctor see, there can be many reasons for swollen feet :(

Lie down and put your legs up against a wall.
Put your feet up on e.g. a footstool. Make an appointment to see the sawbones; sounds like water retention. Any low back pain?
I was told to make sure your feet are as high as you can put them. Certainly higher than your heart.
Good advice, Samuraisan.
I've had water retention when on holiday but it wasn't painful.

i think it may be gout or polyneuropathy due to no thiamine in my system, and drinking too much. i have had 3 attacks of this in 4 months, the pain is probably the worst ever pain ive expirienced in my life. initially i will be in bed ,in middle of night then get a massive cramp in lower legs and feet, a cramp so painfull and it feels like your feet are being torn and twisted . then next day a little swelling and pain, the next day massive swelling, massive pain , need crutches to walk, cant even touch the feet a little the pain is so intense. as im drinking too much recently i do not get any thiamine b1 into my body and also i think i may be bulimic as i go and be sick if i eat this has been going on 4 -5 years now, so my body not getting vitimins and especially thiamine. doctors today at 9am. get blood taken and see but it has taught me a lesson , i need to stop drinking and eat properly and keep it down.

forgot to mention, does anyone here rate ibrophen gel ? i think it is utter crap.
put it on my back last week ,no good. putting on my feet now 5 times per day for last 3 days , crap !! waste of money.
How much do you actually drink and how much exercise to you get?

My uncle was poorly and on crutches so his exercise was quite limited and his feet used to swell up quite badly (he liked a drink too). He never complained of pain though but I'd guess the pain that made him poorly in the first place overrode any other pain he experienced.
My OH has used the gel as he can't take the tabs (stomach ulcer) and says it's alright. I suppose it depends how much pain you're in.
diesel dad had something called capsaicin cream for neuropathy..on prescription but also on amazon

thanks murray

will ask the doccy man this morning about it. anything but this useless ibruphen gel.
Are they swollen like injury kind of swollen or more fluid retention kind of swollen?

Keeping them raised may help with either but you need to know what is causing it with the doctor as to the best treatment.

If it's fluid, ibuprofen gel won't do anything.

I have fluid in my feet and legs up to my knees and it can be painful.
it did help diesel..but you can save your pennies as it is available on prescription
